This last Sunday Miami Beach kicked off its 100 years celebration and it has been an all week celebration showcasing fashion shows, music, and other events to celebrate our culture and diversity. This Thursday Miami Beach will have a massive celebration with artist such as Andrea Bocelli, Gloria Estefan and others with its global music festival. Also, there will be a fashion show by Style Mafia, one of my favorite brands. Their collection is very unique and very Miami style. Tickets for the music festival are still available at miamibeach100.com.
As a Miamian, I feel blessed to live in a city with the greatest tourist attraction. Miami has great beaches, dining experience and music entertainment. Sometimes, I get overwhelmed with the amount of people coming in and out of the city. But, oh well, I live where everyone vacations! Residents of Miami Beach get to enjoy great views and scenery that sometimes we tend to overlook.
As the city of Miami Beach gets ready to celebrate its 100 years follow me to the Funkshion Village and lets discover together the madness that is happening tomorrow.
For Funkshion day 2 I decided to wear my favorite boots from Sam Edelman and this cute boho shirt from Market Miami. Boots are my favorite accessories to wear since they’re comfortable and make the outfit look less casual but more bohemian chic.
For Funkshion Day 1 I opted for a floral romper but still adding some bohemian accents with my Steve Madden fringed purse (See Below). The romper is from Voga Style a boutique I recently discovered at Hialeah Gardens.
This past Monday, the Art Institute from Downtown Miami, showcased a fashion show designed by its students. I loved the designs so much that I want to contact the school and buy some of their student’s creations. You can sneak peek my favorite collection from the pictures above and below. In addition, Lilian Montoya swimwear also displayed its collection for this Spring-Summer 2015. I can’t wait to go to the store and get beach season ready.
The Funkshion Village has been one of my favorite part of all the events. The Peroni Music Lounge area has been hosting special drinks from one of the hottest spot in South Pointe; Radio Bar. Below spot my ‘Soul Remedy’ drink from Radio Bar, which I think is definitely a must try. The food was extra delicious and had the opportunity to indulge in the ceviche and chips, spinach empanadas and tuna appetizers. Yummy!
Do not miss tomorrow’s event and let’s celebrate the Miami culture con Sabor y Sazon! 🙂
