Monday Blues are easy to deal with while in the pool. August is the peak of Summer and the hottest of all the months. Stripes continue to be a trend for this season. For a casual and comfortable look choose dresses that are not fitted to the body. This dress from Coasta Berre is one of my favorites as it is easy to wear by the pool side and go out for brunch while looking classy. After the Swim Week madness I decided to enjoy my Monday at the pool from The Thompson Miami Beach. This hotel is so chic with its vibrant colors. I love the amenities around the pool and this dress matched the little cabana outside. One of the things I love about this dress are the pockets on the sides. It is perfect to put your room keys while being hands free and enjoying that margarita at the bar. A floppy hat complements the outfit and is a resort essential.
During Swim Week, many designers showcased different shapes of swim suits including the high waisted bikinis. This trend was seen during different Swim Week shows and it will continue to evolve. I discovered K Blu Swim during last year’s Swim Week at Nikki Beach. The collection is a combination of blue shades with unique floral and abstract designs. K Blu Swim also offers high waisted designs with a twist. The shape of the bottom is perfect for petite women. Even though I am tall, the design fits good to my body. The care of this swim suit is very important as the brand is crafted from high quality fabrics. I made the big mistake of putting it in the dryer and the results were not favorable. It is a very delicate material that needs special care. K Blu Swim is my favorite brand so far and I wish they would have a location in Miami. The brand is based in Singapore and is inspired by the Asian culture.
I hope you enjoyed this quick style inspiration and stay tuned for my one year anniversary as I have something special for all my readers. Have a blessed week!
