Last week, I decided to stumble across the streets of New York city. Traveling up north to the big apple is always fun. I have visited New York four times, and always find new things to see and do. Read below to discover five destinations and favorite places you can’t miss when you visit New York City this Summer.
1. Momofuku Milk bar is a must visit before you leave the city. Try a classic ice cream such as the cereal milk flavor. This classic spot will make sure to complete your trip in a sweet way. Not an ice cream fan? No problem. Milk bar offers other sweet options, such as cookies, cakes, pies and more.
2. My second favorite spot definitely had to have a view. The Conrad hotel rooftop bar offers a one of a kind view of New York City. The bar known as Loopy Doopy is known for their famous Popsicle drinks. This is the spot for locals to catch a quick summer drink. For $20 a glass, I think the view and ambiance is definitely worth it. Also, make sure to arrive early afternoon as it gets busy.
3. The best place to grab a burger and enjoy the outdoors is the Shake Shack at Madison Square Park. The long wait time is worth the splurge. This casual spot is perfect to grab a quick meal before heading to the next rooftop bar. Shake Shack has been Zagat rated in Miami and many other places. This original fast food joint based in New York city is definitely a try. Anyways, what is a trip to New York City without trying the original? 4. For an extravagant view of Times Square, visit the Knickerbocker hotel in Manhattan. St. Cloud is a bar and lounge rooftop surrounded by skyscrapers and city lights. I discovered this rooftop through a popular Instagram from the well known Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. Their drinks are perfectly shaken and the staff polite. If you want to feel fancy in the city were dreams are made of, this is a spot you don’t want to miss.
5. Food is happiness. That’s why we head to Brooklyn neighborhoods to try the famous flea market known as Smorgasburg. Every weekend, Smorgasburg attract locals and tourists to showcase over 100 of local and regional food vendors. This spot is perfect to try different cuisines in one location. Hurry up, as Smorgasburg only opens until November. This is a popular tourist destination not to miss. For my first visit I went for Takumi Taco, and the tacos were extremely delicious and indescribable. If you are someone who likes good food in a casual spot, Smorgasburg won’t disappoint.
