Spring Break Recap: Toronto

FullSizeRenderIt’s wanderlust Wednesday and time to think of your next destination. I haven’t had a Spring Break in years. Last time I had a Spring Break was back in 2012. This year I had the opportunity to visit Toronto and hang out with my fellow Canadians. I love this country so much and can’t wait to be part of their culture. Visiting Toronto for five days allowed me to discover very hipster and popular places. I also got the chance to do the touristy things and explore more in deep the culture. Here is my short guide on where to eat, what to do and where to party at Toronto on a tourist’s eyes.IMG_5137

Eat: Portland Variety. I was recommended this spot by a blogger and the food was delicious. Eggspectation is a great place for brunch. I had the best french toast here and they also offer marshmallows french toast.IMG_4670

Glam Up: Her Majesty’s Palace. This is the most elegant and efficient nail salon I’ve ever been. This place has a full bar menu with over the counter nail services. Champagne and manicures are always a girl’s best friend. IMG_5123IMG_5032

Go Shopping: Queens Street has amazing boutiques and local Canadian brands. My favorite boutique was Mendocino. You can definitely encounter Miami Vibes at this store. // Can you spot the Canadian symbol on the picture?IMG_5140

Party: Thompson Hotel Rooftop. The view is wonderful and you can enjoy a perfect 360 degrees view of the city. Drake Hotel was very fun too but it’s more casual compared to the Thompson Hotel, in case your’e looking for a fancy place. Tip: make reservations over email before going to the Thompson Rooftop.IMG_4933

Discover: Bata Shoe Museum. If you are a shoe lover like me, this museum is your best investment. You will learn here how shoes were made from the beginning of humanity. Love it and super recommend it!IMG_5142

Explore: A different culture at China town. Because, where else can you get cheap food and boba tea?IMG_5141

Take Pictures: Toronto City Hall at the TORONTO sign. It looks great during day and night. IMG_5138These are the spots I missed and would love to go during my next Visit.

  • Edge Walk at CN Tower.
  • Cupcakes and Cocktails Boutique
  • Reunion Island Coffee
  • Le Chateau Outlet

Places you might want to save up your money.

  • Ripley’s Aquarium {No whales, no dolphins, so what for}
  • Citizen {It’s more for a younger crowd}
  • Aritzia {I don’t get the hype}

Hope you enjoy your visit to Canada if you decide to go.
