This will be my last article until early 2017. My plate is overflowing, so I’ve decided to refocus my career in another direction. This year has been a roller coaster–I could easily write a book about the trials and tribulations of 2016. Clearly I’m being strengthened for challenges that lie ahead.
A burst of color always boosts my happiness: a rainbow, a flower garden, or in this case these spunky pants with a flower garden. Designed by Claudia Gontovnik, these pants are a cheerful re-imagining of vintage clothes. Claudia believes in fashion with a purpose: all of her clothing is handmade, meaning it’s sustainable. I love sustainable designs with a modern attitude! This pair of pants makes a huge statement wherever you wear them. Claudia also designs artistic jackets with colorful patches and a variety of fabrics. She has given fashion a new meaning by taking the old and turning it into new.
I always like to showcase Miami-based designers like Claudia, and I can’t wait to feature more in 2017. I will be taking a blogging hiatus to redesign the blog and concentrate on other fashion projects. You will still find me active on social media and Brickell.com, where I will introduce the new shopping areas around Brickell and downtown Miami. I want to feature the best of Miami’s burgeoning fashion industry. Enjoy the holidays and see you soon around the blog. xoxo
